Ronald Reagan of California, "Sheer beauty is the only way to de-scribe "Vanishing Wilderness" To say I enjoyed seeing it is to be guilty of an unforgivable understatement." Whether you believe in ecol-ogy or not, the picture starting at the Grove Theatre on next Wednesday, Dec. 5, may change your whole outlook on life. Filmed in 35 MM and en-compassing a period of 5 years this ecology oriented nature film has been produced and to those viewers who have never experienced the magnificent beauty of our van-ishing wilderness. German photographer Heinz Seilmann, with the help of A. R. (Arthur) Dubs, realized that there were many who would never be able to witness the scenic splendor and other nat-ural phenomena photographed . in this movie. You will witness amazing se-crets of birds and animals from the Florida Everglades to the - frozen tundra of Alaska, scen-es never before photographed by man, unstaged, untouched since the beginning of time. "Extremely impressed . . . I would like to congratulate you on this effort," were John Wayne's words. Ride the thundering White Water of Oregon's primitive Rogue River with Arthur Dubs and family through 'Zane Grey' country, ski a high mountain slope and sail the frigid seas of the "Icy North," watch herds of caribou on a 1,300 mile trek in search of food, see beavers building and repairing their dams and numerous other an-imal and birds in their natural habitat. "Herman, I've reconsidered I will marry you" Former PG Student Playing in Band At Utah State Former Pleasant Grove stu-dent, Brian Engh, a music major at Utah State University was a member of the band that played at half-tim- e at the Utah Stars game in the Salt Palace recently. He also arranged and directed a number, "Every-body's Everything," for the Aggiette performance. He also directed the number at the Uni-versity of Utah and Utah State game. Brian says he has dedicated most of his college career to discovering where rock music fits in relation to the general "serious" music studied in the music department. He doesn't believe it's fair to compare classical music and rock because theyre two entire- - ly different forms of music, re-quiring different observation and terminology. Brian, son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Engh, is a senior at Utah State University this year. He would like to include writing, performing, recording and producing in his musical future. Trade Tech to Start Drivers Training Course on Monday The December driver train-ing course for adults who have never driven before or who do not now have a driver's license will begin next Monday, Dec. 3 at Utah Technical College at Provo.
