Grove Jr. HighookJFair Everyone is invited to come and browse and then order books Tuesday, November 7th through Friday, November 10 from 8 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Junior High School Library. There will be a wide var iety of books from which to choose. As soon as the fair is over, the books will be ordered. They will arrive around Dec. 1st. FFA President Kevin Robinson approves. Lisa Blue Selected as FFA Sweetheart Last Week at PI. Grove High School Twelve girls at PGHS com-peted for the title of FFA Sweetheart Queen. They par-ticipated in a week of competi-tions in which the girls milked cows, stacked straw, recovered money out of sawdust and made cakes from scratch, and sold them to the guys. They also caught a pig and took a . test on information related to Future Farmers of America. Finalists in the contest were Gladene Hilton, senior; Edith Swenson, junior; Lisa Blue, a sophomore and Sherron John-son, a freshman. Lisa Blue won the queen con-test and will compete in the State FFA Queen contest. Officers in the FFA this year are Kevin Robinson, president; Scott Anderson, vice president and Gary Thornton, second vice president. Jon Bratt is secretary, Da-vid Richard, reporter; Vaughn Maxfield, sentinel; Kim Tom-linso- n, treasurer; Robin Robin-son and Layne Anderson, his-torian, and Steve Hooley, FFA advisor Wayne Corna-b- y said that membership this year is close to a 100. McKay's statement that he voted against the prayer amendment be-cause the Government would write the prayer is not true. The amendment only called for "VOL-UNTAR-PRAYER or MEDITATION."
