Show Pleasant Grove Garden Club Accepts Five New Members The Pleasant Grove Garden Club held their October meet-ing at the home of Mrs. Eug-ene Atkinson in Manila last Thursday. Five new members were ac-cepted into the club. They are Priscilla Minsin, Judy Jones, Sharon Newman, Joyce Dur-ra- nt and Julia Zorn. President Cluadia Brown ask-ed each member and guests to say a little about themselves as a way of introduction for the benefit of new members to the Garden Club. Plans are going forward for a Christmas party with part-ners, ot. December 12 at the Orem Reception Centre. The club members had an interesting "show and tell" exchange of Christmas ideas. Mrs. Mae Jensen demonstra-ted the making of Divinity candy. Suggestions were given on "Sharing Happiness at Chist-mas- " the theme for the Nov-ember meeting to be held at the home of Mrs. Evelyn Schoonover. Delicious refreshments were served by the hostess to guests Mae Jensen, and Irene Jobs and the following club mem-bers: Maxine Smith, Virginia Bonham, Priscilla Minsin, Judy Jones, Lucille Hillman, Claudia Brown, Sharon Newman, Mary Shoell, Olga Carling, Velma Gilman, Mary McCormick, Eva Reynolds, Alice Simper, Alice Adamson, Joyce Durrant, Lill-ia- n Huish and Edna Atkinson. Cadmus Club Meets at Senior Citizens Center in American Fork The October meeting of Cad-mus Club was held at the Sen-ior Citizens' center in Ameri-can Fork on Wednesday. Oct. 18. Club members, partners and guests were entertained by the Senior Citizens group of Am-erican Fork. The enjoyable pro-gram consisted of nostalgic old-tim- e musical numbers by the Kitchen Band, directed by Jennie Wilde and accompanied by Inez Kan-en- . Other numbers included pan-tomime solos by Milton Brown, a Mexican dance by Concha Thayne, harmonica trios, vocal duets and solos, and tap dance numbers. Vice president Lurena Warn-ic-k conducted the meeting. Elaine Walker of the education committee introduced the pro-gram. Opening prayer was by Afton Atkinson. Refreshments were served by Lucille Jense and Fae Bellis-to- Phyllis Thomson announced that the annual Christmas par-ty for husbands and guests would be held Dec. 18, at the Alpine Country Club, starting at 7 p.m. 120 Geneva Employees Honored at Luncheon Provo, Oct. 30 One hun-dred and twenty more Geneva Works employees today joined the ranks of those who have 25 years or i.iore of service with the steelmaking plant. Among those honored at a luncheon this noon at the Elks Lodge were three for 35 years service and two for 30 years. They are Louis E. Franks of Provo, . a painter in the Coke and Coal Chemicals Division; Willard J. Hirst, Orem, a roll-er in the Rolling Mills Divis-ion; and Albert W. Thomas, Spanish Fork, a test provider in the Rolling Mills Division, for 35 years. Alma V. Nicol, Midway, a machinist in Maintenance and Utilities Division, and Edmund H. Roundy, Springville a hook-er in the Rolling Mills, are 30-ye- ar men. Honored for 25 years service were: Pleasant Grove Lynn W. Atwood, Blain Brailsford, Al-bert E. Brown, Leland R. Carl-son, Abe H. Church, Floyd E. Cossey, Dale L. Fox, William M. Jorgensen, Kenneth B. Manley, Melvin J. Marshall, Herman E. McCandless, War-ren G. Perkins, Arvil Wadley, Darrell W. Walker, and Wayne E. Wood. Golden Keys Hold Hallowen Party With Barbara Lewis The Golden Keys Halloween party was held at the home of Barbara Lewis recently. Each guest came in costume and they displayed many different and original ideas. The evening was spent play-ing games, visiting and enjoy-ing refreshments. Attending were Leone Rutledge, Gayle Holdaway, Carol Adamson, Lo-ret- ta Carter, Barbara Lewis, Betty Whiteley, Lillian Wad-le- y, Jane Smith.
