' - ROENA CLARK open house Sunday Open House Sunday For Roena Clark On 80th Birthday Mrs. Roena Clark will cele-brate her 80th birthday with an open house to be held Sun-day, Nov. 12 from 1 to 4:30 p.m. at her home, 325 North First East, in Pleasant Grove. All friends and relatives are in-vited and she requests no gifts. Mrs. Clark was bora Nov. 10, 1892 in Pleasant Grove, the daughter of Joseph Hyrum and Colenda Rogers Adams. She was the third of nine children, of which five are still living, Roxie Richards, Am. Fork, Zola Robbins, Orem, Evelyn Robbins and George Adams, of Pleasant Grove. She has lived in Pleasant Grove most of her life. She married John Othello Clark on April 8, 1914 in the Salt Lake Temple. During their life to-gether they worked at the Railroad Station as agents. After his death she con-tinued this work for many years, then was employed at Utah Power and Light until her retirement. They raised one child, J. O. Clark, deceased, and she has three grandchildren. Mr. Hone's Birthday (Continued from page 1) teacher was Mary Woodruff, a daughter of President Wil-for- d Roodruff. He used to car-ry her books for her home from school. He lived in the horse and buggy days. He saw the rail-road and the airplane and has used all these methods of tra-vel. He was fascinated when he read of the landing on the moon. He was a keeper of bees all of his life. At one time he had as many as 600 colonies which yielded 38,000 pounds of hon-ey. He was also an enthusias-tic gardner and still takes pride in the harvest he produ-ces. He is an enthusiest of clean living and walks his mile each day. He loves his country and up-holds the constitution. He in voting. He cast his first ballot when he was 21 years old and has never missed a year soince. He voted this year on Nov. 7, 1972 making his 77th year to vote. Those attending the supper were his children Ida and Rulon Brimhall of Provo, Lexie and Fay Steele of American Fork, Rulon and Alta Hone of Pleasant Grove, Mrs. Vern Nut-ta- ll of Provo and Jennie and Glenn Gilbert of Pleasant Grove. Timp Stake Parent, Youth Night Set for November 21, 22 The Timapanogos Stake Par-ent and Youth Night will be held November 21 and 22, at 7:30 p.m. This special program, "House Talk" comes directly from the General Board. It features a large cast from the entire stake under the direction of Duane Major, stake drama dir-ector. Joy Lloyd will direct the music. The stake leaders would like to issue a special invitation to the senior citizens. Special seating arrangements for them will be provided. Farm Machinery Class to Start Next Thursday A special class in Farm Machinery will begin Thursday Nov. 16 at 7 p.m. in the Orem High School Farm Shop area. Interested students will be able to plan and complete a project to be utilized in the agricul-ture area. The class will last for 12 weeks.
