Wat-son of Pleasant Grove and Mrs. Yvonne Langton of Chula Vis-ta, California announce the marriage of their daughter Cheryl Dianford Stanford Wat-son and Wesley Keith Gordon, son of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley J. Gordon of Lehi, Saturday, Nov. 4. A wedding supper was hosted by the bridegroom's parents at the Rodeway Inn that evening. An open house will be held for the young couple at the home of her parents at 540 So. Main in Pleasant Grove from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10. All friends and relatives are in-vited. No announcements are being sent. The new Mrs. Gordon is a 1972 graduate of the Pleasant Grove High School and a four-yea- r seminary graduate. She , was an honor Thespian in high school, having been very active in drama there as well as in community plays. She is a na-tional honor student and a Sterling Scholar in languages. She is the 1971-7- 2 Jr. Miss for Pleasant Grove, and competed in the state pageant. She has been attending BYU on a scholarship and grant. Mr. Gordon graduated from Lehi High School where he was a member of the Thesp-ians and the National Forensic League, winning best speaker award at the state meet. He was secretary-treasure-r of the FFA. He is a member of Na-tional Honor Society. He ob-tained his pilot's license while still a sophomore in high school Mr. Gordon is currently at home on leave from the U.S. Army. He completed his basic training at Fort Polk, Louisiana where he was leader of his platoon. He will now go to Fort Walter, Texas, where he will attend Warrant Officers can-didate school, then to Fort Ruckers, Ala to Helicopter School. As soon as he is settled at Fort Walters, his wife will join him, and they will make their home in that area. Ill .up . nm ? Veater Plan Provo Temple Rites for Nov. 1 6 Mr. and Mrs. Lon Hooley are announcing the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter Charlene to Gaylan N. Veater, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ned R. Veater of Am-erican Fork. The couple are planning a November 16th wedding in the Provo LDS Temple. A reception will hon-or them that same evening at the Lindon Ward Cultural Hall. The bride-to-b- e is a gradu-ate of Pleasant Grove High School and Seminary. She is currently employed in Orem. The bridegroom is a gradu-ate of American Fork High School and Seminary, where he was active in sports. He is cur-rently employed in American Fork. Attending the bride will be Clara Ann Radmall as matron of honor, bridesmaids Alana Ovard, Cindy McEwan, Carrie Maxfield, RaShelle Veater, and junior bride and groom will be Charity Wright and Jarod Radmall. Serving as best man will be Ballard Veater, and as ushers Boyd Hooley and Royce Veater. The couple will make their home in Orem following their marriage. Remote Control Special! RAY MANN AND MISS LINDA LEE MANNING Linda Lee Manning and Danny Ray Mann Plan Provo LDS Temple Rites for Nov. 17 Mr.and Mrs. Donald D. Man-ning of Lehi announce the en-gagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter Lin-da Lee to Danny Ray Mann, son of Mr. William R. Mann of American Fork, and the late Thelma Mann. The bride is a graduate of Lehi High School and LDS Seminary. She is presently em-ployed in Orem. The groom graduated from American Fork High School and LDS Seminary. He served a two-yea- r mission in the New England States. The marriage will be per-formed in the Provo LDS Tem-ple on Friday, Nov. 17. A re-ception will honor the couple that same evening in the Lehi Third-Sevent- h Ward Cultural Hall. 1095 North 3rd West in Lehi. WESLEY CALVIN WHITBY (Debra Keller) Open House Will Honor Newlyweds on Friday Evening After Recent Marriage Debra Keller Whitby and Wesley Calvin Whitby exchan-ged wedding vows last Thurs-day, Nov. 2, at the home of the bride's parents. The cere-mony was performed by Bis-hop La Von Kay Harward with the fathers of the bride and groom standing as witnesses. The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jared T. Keller, is a senior at American Fork High School. She is active in drama and a member of the color guard. She graduated from 3rd year Seminary and is prepar-ing for her 4th year gradua-tion. Debra is presently work-ing at Lancelot's Fabric Shop. The groom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin M. Whitby, is also a senior at American Fork High School. He has graduated from 3rd year Seminary, and is also preparing for his fourth year graduation. He has been in-volved in wrestling during his high school years. He is pres-ently working at Alpine Valley Lumber and Hardware. The couple are making their home in Alpine. An open house will be held in their honor at The Manor, 215 North enter, American Fork, on Friday, Nov. 10, from 8 to 10 p.m. All friends and relatives are invited. No invi-tations will be sent. Parents Visiting Day At PG Junior High On Novembef 10th Parents' Visiting Day at the Pleasant Grove Jr. High School is scheduled for Nov. 10, Fri-day, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be a lunch break at 12 noon for approximately 45 minutes.
