Region Roadshows Set for Saturday Night in Lehi Center Region Roadshows will be held Saturday, Nov. 11, at 7 p.m. They will be presented at the Lehi Stake Center, 200 N. Center in Lehi. Roadshows from five stakes will be presented, Alpine 14th Ward, Lehi 7th, American Fork Ward, Manila Second and PI. Grove 1st Ward. The Training School will also present a road-show. Everyone is invited to attend and stake officers ask for a good turnout from the two stakes in Pleasant Grove. Timp Stake Relief Society to Meet Next Thursday The Timpanogos Stake Re-lief Society Leadership meet-ing will be held at the Stake Center, November 16, at 10:00 a.m. Faye Fordham, President of the Fourth Ward Relief Soc-iety, will preside over the meeting and present the Nov-ember theme "A Thankful and Loving Heart." The spiritual thought will be given by Joyce Taylor; and a musical number with Betty Whiteley, Drucilla Smith, Car-m- a Cook and Myrtle Fordham will be presented under the direction of Hazel Bullock and accompanied by Anita Ander-sen. The course will be free, and everyone is invited to sign up. Teachers will be Kay Carlson, assisted by members of the Police Aux-iliary. The course will consist of 26 hours of instruction and a per-son attending all classes will be awarded his advanced First Aid Card. This is not manda-tory, but we want all people to attend as many classes as they can. Also a Standard First Aid Card will be given for 10 hrs. of instruction. The course began on Nov. 8 (last night) so if you are read-ing about it for the first time you are already too late for the Advanced First Aid Card. Other class periods will be held Nov. 9, 16, 22 and 30, and Dec. 6, 7, 14 and 20. Class periods will be three hours, 7 to 10 p.m. each night. All interested persons call the police department for in-formation. Funeral Services for Edith W. Anderson Held November 2 Funeral services were held last Thursday, Nov. 2, for Edith Wilson Anderson, 74, who died Oct. 30, at her home after a lingering illness. The services were under the direction of Bishop Doyle B. Young of the Fifth Ward, and were held at 1 p.m. in the Pleasant Grove Stake House. Speaker at the services was Judge David J. Wilson. Bishop Young also gave remarks, and a life sketch was given by Pat-ricia A. Wilkens. Musical numbers were sung by the Mendelssohn Chorus, under the direction of Elvis B. Terry, with Sheree T. Balser as accompanist. Vocal solos were also hung by Colleen Winger, accompanie by Mrs. Balser and by William E. Petersen, ac-companied by Nora Larsen. Prelude and postlude was played by Susan Jensen. Family prayer was given by Dr. J. Paul Anderson, invocat-ion by Dr. Wayne B. Hales, and benediction by Robert James. The grave, in the Provo City Cemetery, was dedicated by Dr. Grant W. Anderson. Pallbearers were Eugene and Alec Wilkens, Samuel, Anders, Grant, James and Robert Sor-enso- n. La Primavera Club Viet for Halloween Party on October 26 The members of La Prima-vera Club met together on Oct. 26 for a very enjoyable Hal-loween party. A meeting in the bank parking lot started a trea-sure hunt that made the mem-bers find clues for their sup-per. More clues led to Connie Bullock's home, where they en-joyed chili and sandwiches. The group then went on to Candy Johnson's home, where they fondued caramel apples. A good time was had by all who attended Committee for the party was composed of Connie Bullock, chairman; Nyla Wilkinson and Candy Johnson, Members present were Diane Adamson, Connie Bullock, Kar-ma Cook, Chris Fredrick, Can-dy Johnson, Diane Newman, Anita Phillips, Shirley Pyper, Pat West and Nyla Wilkinson. Lindon Camp DUP Meeting Set for Today at 1:30 p.m. Lindon Camp Daughters of Utah Pioneers meeting will be held today, Thursday, at 1:30 p.m. at the Lindon Ward Chap-el. All members are welcome. Lessons and histories will be given, and they are very interesting, officers of the Lin-don Camp report. Cub Scout Leaders Hold Pow Wow in Lehi on Nov. 18 The annual Cub Leader's Pow Wow will be held for all adult Cub Scout Leaders in the north end of Utah County on November 18th from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Lehi First-Sixt- h Ward Chapel in Lehi. Speacial training will be for Cubmasters and Pack committeemen. There will also be training in crafts and skits and puppets for Den leaders. There will be training for Webelos Leaders and Pri-mary presidents, as well as a session on Den and Pack cere-monies. Several hundred handicraft items will be on display along with lots of home made games. Bob Penrod, Timpanogos District chairman, encourages all adult Cub Scout leaders of the Lindon, Manila, and Pleas-ant Grove areas to plan to at-tend. Harold Walker Is Home Recuperating After Hospital Stay Harold Walker, who was re-cently released from Utah Val-ley Hospital after a two months stay, during which time he un-derwent two surgical opera-tions, is recovering rapidly and is able to take walks and drive his car. He is enjoying visit-ing with his friends and family. He and Mrs. Walker were dinner guests on Sunday at the home of their son Stanley, in Lindon.
