Show U.S. Steel to Hold Annual Stockholders Meeting in Utah NEW YORK, N.Y. Salt Lake City has been selected by the directors of United States Steel as the site of the Corporation's 1971 annual meeting of stockholders, stock-holders, Edwin H. Gott, board chairman announced recently. The meeting will be held at the Hotel Utah on Monday, May 3. In announcing the location, Mr. Gott said it will bring U.S. Steel's annual meeting to one more important area in the country. Stockholders in recent years have convened at Houston, Hous-ton, Birmingham, Pittsburgh and San Francisco. Salt Lake City was chosen next year because of its ready accessibility to Corporation stockholders in the Rocky Mountain states and the importance im-portance to United States Steel of its operations in this area, Mr. Gott said. "TTip choice recoenizes and Zero, to insure the future of our industy in Utah and nearby states agairst an increasingly serious competitive challenge, mainly by foreign producers, for major steel markets on the West Coast," he added. U.S. Steel stockholders will receive in advance detailed information in-formation as to the time of the 1971 meeting and matters for consideration.
