Show THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 5, 1970 PLEASANT GROVE REVIEW, PLEASANT (SROVtf, UtAh THURSDAY, NOVEMBER , tr76 Next Thursday our debate team begins its season at Springville. It looks like an-other great year in the foren-sic- s areas. Next Wednesday is Veterans Day. The school plans a special assembly for that day. The Boys and Girls Staters will assist in the program. Mrs. Talmage M. Thomson if the American Legion AuxiLU.7 has arranged for a special film pre-sentation produced by Milo Baughman of Provo. The high school band and Madrigal Chor-us will also take part. It should be a great assembly. Geese Now Fair Game in Most Utah Counties Geese are now fair game in all areas of Utah except Dag-gett County, which is closed to goose shooting until Nov. 14. Daily bag limit for geese is six birds with no more than two Canada geese per day. Canada geese must be tagged at time and place of kill with the spec-ial goose tags provided with each hunting license. The sea-son limit for Canada geese is eight birds. Welcome news for holders of swan permits is the report from Division waterfowl biol-ogists that whistling swans are already on Utah marshes. Most of the swans are now on the Bear River and Ogden Bay areas. Only holders of swan permits are allowed to take swan, and other waterfowl hunters in the area should be sure they do not mistake the large, all-whi-te birds for snow geese. Postmaster Lists (Continued from page 1) might result in rewrapping were required in transit.. 4. Insure parcels realistically to cover full value but do not verinsure. 5. Use ZIP Code as a tool for economy in mailing. When it is used consistently on parcels and cards, ZIP Code helps pre-vent errors in delivery and handling. If only a few Christmas cards go astray, an investment of several dollars may be lost, for example. "The key to efficient Christ-mas mailing," the postmaster commented, "is to mail early and carefully. Clear addressing with ZIP Codes proper pack-aging and early depositing can prevent most problems and provide the greatest value for money spent for postage." PLEASANT GROVE HIGH NEWS by Shaun McCausland Pleasant Grove High School is bustling with activity this week as the first quarter of school work draws to a close. The quarter ends Friday and many of the teachers are giv-ni- g exams to find what the kids have learned so far this year. Also keeping many of the sut-den- ts busy this week is the an-nual Sweater Swing dance and assembly. This sponsored by the FHA (Future Homemakers of America). The assembly will be Friday morning and feature FHA talent. The dance is Friday night. It is a girls' choice date dance. Admission is $1.50 a couple and pictures will be taken for a charge of $2.00. The band is "Five Deep" and the night will be great fun for all attending. The theme this year is "Out in the Country." Another facet of the Sweater Swing is the voting for King and Queen. Each class has nominated one boy and one girl. They are George Shoell and Lee Ann Jones, seniors; Bob Chadsey and Jean Walker, juniors; Kraig Higginson and Mary Jane Affleck, sophomores and Mike Marchbanks and Lisa Peterson, freshmen. Students will vote at the door and win-ners will be announced during intermission. Basketball and wrestling for the Vikings have already start-ed. The first basketball prac-tice was Monday and wrestling drills began on Tuesday. We will soon be starting practice niatches in both sports. DELINQUENT ASSESSMENT NOTICE PLEASANT GROVE IRRIGATION CO.
