Enrollment sheets will also be available for club leaders to re-enroll their clubs for the new 4-H year. All boys and girls in the county coun-ty between the years of 9 and 19 years are invited to join a 4-H organization. Supervisors can start new clubs any time, and the 4-H year runs from Oct. 1 to Sept. 30 each year. The 4-H program involves many action programs which suit the talents and desires of most young people. In the fall months, special emphasis is placed on enrollment in livestock live-stock clubs, so that the animals can be fed throughout the winter win-ter and be in top condition for early showing in the spring. In addition to livestock clubs the entire field is open for all 4-H members to enroll. Clothing, Foods, Home Improvement, and all other projects are now open. A requirement for individuals to enroll in 4-H is to first be interested in self-improvement programs. Any boy or girl who likes to do things, who likes to learn, who is interested in personal per-sonal development, should consider con-sider 4-H. Any parent who is interested in seeing their boy or girl develop through action programs, pro-grams, should also consider learning more about the 4-H program. Supervisors in the Pleasant Grove area are Mrs. Malcolm Christiansen and Mrs. Van A. Barnes. If parents or children are interested, they can help in enrolling and starting a 4-H club. There are no fees connected with joining 4-H. This is a program pro-gram sponsored by the county, state, and Dept. of Agriculture and all literature, as of this time, is furnished free to club members. The only costs involved in the program are for the materials actually used by the individual in making articles. |
