Show Weather Wet and Cool Last Week In Pleasant Grove The weather for the 7-day period ending at 6 p.m. Monday, Mon-day, February 17, continued on the wet and cool side. Rain or sleet fell over the area during dur-ing three of the seven days. The greatest downpour was on Sunday, February 17, when almost a half inch of water hit the dirt. The total in pure water for the week was almost al-most nine-tenths of an inch. Snowfall on the eastern water-sheds was heavy. Any fears for a water shortge during dur-ing the summer of 1969 are small indeed. Temperatures for the week have been mild always above freezing during the afternoons. A few patches of fog plagued drivers in Salt Lake Valley Monday morning; but there was none south of the Point of the Mountain. Snow birds have retreated into the eastern foothills and the food this writer put out for them has been eaten by the starlings. The sun came up clear and bright Tuesday morning. The outside temperature was 24 degrees de-grees and the barometer was falling slightly at 30.00. Increasing high clouds with light showers later in the week was the forecast. Warmer.
