Officers of American Legion Department of Utah will be present to explain benefits now available to Korea and Viet-nam Veterans. Also of importance to dis-abled veterans and their wid-ows. Utah Senator Dr. Richard H. Call of Provo has introduced a bill in the Utah Legislature, which, if passed, will wipe out all property tax abatements for Utah's disabled veterans or widows of disabled veterans. Sapp Held on Thursday Impressive funeral services in memory of Bonnie Brad-sha- Sapp, 38, were held Fri-day, Feb. 14, 1969 at 11 a.m. in the Timpanogos Stake House under the direction of Bishop Eleroy H. West of the Pleas-ant Grove LDS Seventh Ward. Mrs. Sapp died Feb. 11 in a Salt Lake Hospital, following major surgery. She had been a Pleasant Grove resident since 1949. Speakers who told of the kind-ly personality and useful life of the deceased were Harvey Smith and T. Ardie Adams. Fitting remarks were also giv-en by Bishop West. A vocal duet "Look Up to Him" was sung by Bliss Brim-le- y and Patricia Seely. William E. Petersen sang "In My Fathers House." Irene and Terry Jenkins fa-vored with a piano and organ duet, "The Lords Prayer." Mrs. Jenkins accompanied the singers and also played the prelude and postlude. Family prayer was led by Delmar Reay. Riley Richards asked the invocation and bene-diction was pronounced by Al-ro- y Gillman. Pallbearers were Kent Brad-sha- Stephen Sapp, Mario Davis, Oral Bunnell, Delmar Reay and Stanley Hinton. Flowers were cared for and arranged by the Sevenh Ward Relief Society. Burial was in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery where the dedicatory prayer was spoken by Dr. Max A. Blackham. Larayne Wadley 1969 Homemaker At PI. Grove High Larayne Wadley has been named 1969 Betty Crocker Homemaker of Tomorrow for Pleasant Grove High School, according to an announcement received this week. She achiev-ed the highest score in a home-makin- g knowledge and attitude test which she took along with other senior class girls on Dec. 3. She will be awarded a spec-ial Betty Crocker silver charm. Her paper has been entered with those of other school win-ners in the state competition. Winner of this honor will re-ceive a $1,500 scholarship from General Mills, Inc., and run-neru-will be granted $500 scholarships. National winners will get a $5,000 scholarship and the three runnerups will be granted a $4,000, $3,000 and $2,000 schol-arship. Cutter Racing in Heber Slated for Saturday, Sunday The Heber Valley Cutter Rac-ing Association, wlil host the Montpelier, Idaho Cutter Rac-ing Association in a two-da- y meet set for Saurday and Sun-day, Feb. 22 and 23. The an-nouncement was made by Ken-neth R. Gillman, a director of the Heber Valley group. The races will begin each day at 1 p.m. and will be held at the Wasatch County Fair-grounds, Heber, Mr. Gillman said. The Montpelier outfit is ex-pected to bring 30 especially trained quarter horse teams and drivers to the event, which will feature approximately 30 cutter races each day. These teams will be matched with the best of 60 teams, owned by members of the Heber Valley Association. Eleven of the lat-ter teams come from Utah County. Good spectator seats are pro-vided in the grandstand and refreshments will be sold by the Heber City Lions Club. Everyone is invited and ad-mission is $1.00 per person.
