Scheduled to arrive officially at 12 noon on Saturday, Dec. 21, the frosty-haired frosty-haired old gentleman arrived early on Friday, Dec. 20 and before the day was over 6 inches of snow had been added add-ed to the 4 inches already on the ground. Following Friday's storm, the thermometer sank to zero Saturday morning and to 4 below sometime after midnight mid-night Sunday morning.
