Show christmas lighting prize winners are announced mrs W J gurr was slated to receive the first prize of 10 to be riven given by parowan carowan city for the best outside christmas lighting scheme in the contest sponsored by paro wan city and the exchange club second place was awarded to georgia B mitchell and third to john T Rasmuss cn prizes for 2nd and and 3rd ard are arc and respectively because of so many varied themes and lighting effects judging was made difficult and as a result first impressions had to be taken with an idea dea as to the theme carried out judges went out separately and vot cd by secret ballot as to the selections were made on the first ballot with all three judges selecting the three above mentioned places though they fill all placed in the above order only six people entered the contest officially but consideration was given to all places with outside decorations co prizes will ise be awarded to the win ners of the contest by mayor joseph and may be had by calling cal lingat at the parowan carowan mercantile all people who have outside decorations co are requested to leave them up until after new years day th those ose who were selected to receive prizes are especially requested to leave their decorations up many other people in town de serve erve special mention for their efforts in lighting some of them are W C pendleton john P orton if S hyatt claude harris amelia marlo mario james C robinson jos bentley lorin smith clayton susie john A evans D A matheson utah service station danief grawford crawford parowan carowan east and west vest wards parowan carowan city shell service W L adams H C parcells al do bruskie orland ward arthur joseph W J lowder A C hatch C F bentley anthony paxton and possibly others which we have unintentionally overlooked |
