Show Timeshare plat gets OK The Park City Planning Commission unanimously approved a condominium plat for Victorian Village at its Feb. 13 meeting. The 24-unit project at 1150 Empire Ave. was a timeshare project in the 1970s with the Sweetwater Company. Legally, the project can continue that use, but only if it would fall under timeshare ordinances passed by the city in 1981. Under the new law, timeshare would not be allowed in that area. At a January meeting, the commission asked for more details on the old sales operation to make sure Victorian Village was not expanding its sales. Planner Nora Seltenrich said this has been verified. The city has received a computer listing of the more than 1,100 owners of timeshares and a log of sales. "So they're not asking for anything more than they had," said Chairman Cal Cowher. The project, earlier known as the Sweetwater Mine Camp, was sold by the financially-troubled Sweetwater Company as part of bankruptcy proceedings. |
