Show Rockers' concert is Hexed rt . The rock group Hex has been hexed. hex-ed. Or, more accurately, they've run into a glitch. The group's concert, scheduled to be held in the Egyptian Theatre on Main Street on Friday night, Nov. 14, has been postponed to, tentative-ly.Feb.l. tentative-ly.Feb.l. More time will be needed to adapt the Egyptian's electrical system for the high-powered demands of the group's concert, said Hex's producermanager pro-ducermanager Steve Morby. Another factor is the demands by other groups for the theater space. Morby stressed the delay is nobody's fault, and he said the members of Hex still want to perform per-form in Park City. Pam Foyster, manager of the Egyptian, said the board of Park City Performances welcomes the concert. Plans called for the concert to be filmed. A video from the show would be submitted to the MTV cable-music cable-music channel for their "Basement Tapes" program, which plays videos from lesser-known rock groups. Songs from the concert might also have been used for a future Hex album. The problem, said Morby, is that the program would utilize smoke, sirens and 15,000 watts of light. "We would need eight or 10 breakers of 30 amps each," said Morby. The theater's stage electrical system has only four or five. The theater will adapt by patching in to the main power system in the projection booth. |
