Show Contractor Licensing Required City Councilmen have adopted a new ordinance requiring contractors to have a Park City business license in order to do work within the city limits. The existing business license ordinance did not exclude contractors from regular licensing procedures, but at the same time made no requireme nts of them. The ordinance made mention only of business with established offices being required to take out licenses. From now on contractors will have to pay a $50 business license fee, plus pay a per-job fee based on extent and type of work. The per job fee has been in effect for some time. "The more work you do in Park City" City Manager Arlene Loble said "themore you pay. It's only fair that contractors be treated like all other Park City businesses". Loble said the ordinance is essentially designed to generate revenue for the city. |
