Show r I I IJijlikK.r ij$MiicHj j I J Claim jumper Quarter Caper Lloyd Stevens, owner of the Claimjumper Hotel and Restaurant, advised officers November 1 of a burglary at the popular Main St. rendezvous. Burglars apparently broke a window and unlocked a door to gain entrance. They then ransacked the office taking approximately $200 in rolled quarters. Club Burglary Nets Thieves Miscellany On November 3, burglars broke into The Club on Main St. taking t-shirts, cigarettes, change, stereo tapes and a vest left by a customer. After an investigation, officers determined a chisel was used to pry the door latch open to gain entry. Insult Added to Injury On the same evening. The Club's dumster was overturned by vandals who also damaged a chain link fence at the rear of the private club. Camera Reported Missing Beverly McNama told officers November 2 a camera valued at $250 had been taken from her car parked at 307 Woodside Avenue. Microwave Mystery Mieko McBride reported the theft of a $500 microwave oven from a house under construction at 1115 Lowell Ave. The theft was reported November 4. Motorcycle Ripped-Off A 1975 Yamaha motorcycle valued at $500 disappeared November 6 from the garage of the bike's owner Robert Elliott of Park City. Purse Snatcher Nabbed at Cowboy Bar A suspect was arrested the evening of November 6 when he tried to leave the Cowboy Bar with a lady's purse concealed in his coat. A witness saw the suspect take the purse belonging to Vicki Ross and detained him until officers arrived. Officer Run Off the Road A Heber man was arrested for DUI November 6 after eratic driving forced officer Sickels of the PCPD off the road on Park Avenue. Police Chief Joe Offret said the suspect complained of being abused by the arresting officers but an investigation would not substantiate the charges. Eating Establishment Hit Again $200 in cash was taken from the Eating Establishment November 4. Burglars apparently entered the Main St. restaurant through the greenhouse roof over the patio dining area. Rims Lifted Laura Solen complained November 7 that two spoked rims and hubcabs were taken from her car parked in the garage at the Edelweiss Haus. The rims were valued at $176. Stereo Vanishes from Car John Duarte of Park City reported the theft of a stereo from his car November 8. The car was parked at 1053 Woodside when the theft occurred. Attempted Burglary the Real Thing An attempted burglary was reported at the Holiday Inn after an employee noticed a suspect with his "arm up a coke machine." Shadow Ridge Change Missing On November 9 change was reported missing from coin operated machines at the Shadow Ridge condominium hotel. Park Record 649-1333 |
