Show EDITORIAL Last week we announced the addition of two new staff members and this week we must bid farewell to two old faces at the Record who have served us and the community well for over seven combined years. David Fleisher, News Editor and a mainstay of this publication for four-and-a-half years is taking a leave of absence to devote time to writing a book on the John Singer tragedy. He will hopefully be back in the fall. Feature Editor Teri Gomes has been with us for almost three years and is leaving to spend more time with her family and work freelance on other projects. Both Teri and David will continue to write their columns and cover special assignments in the future. Apart from their responsibilities at the Record, both Teri and David were and are devoted to the betterment of the community. They spent their free time (whatever there was of it) working on civic projects, sitting on and chairing committees and boards, and in general giving of themselves to the people of Park City. It is a strong feeling at the Record that it is an honor and priviledge to be able to serve one's community and David and Teri exemplified that spirit of community service. Meanwhile we would like to at this time renew out committment to the community and pledge to work even harder in the future to fulfill our responsibility of keeping the people accurately and more than adequately informed about the current events of our city. We also promise to keep alive the spirit of community spirit at the Record and will strive . continuously towards a better Park City for all our citizens. |
