Boosters Donate Library Funds for the fund-raising effort. Booster Club president, Pete Martinez, said he would appreciate appre-ciate contributions from the community for the elementary school's new book loft, including such items as lumber, paint, and any building needs. Martinez added he hopes to begin work on the loft immediately. Dr. Falls said he expects the loft to be complete in less than a month. The Booster Club would like to have volunteer help during the construction period. The Park City Booster Club demonstrated its continued support sup-port for area schools by donating $100 to Marsac Elementary School to be used for buying library books. The Boosters will also take charge in building a book loft in the school's media center. The new loft, Principal Otis Falls said, will allow students at Marsac more space to read, and will hopefully encourage encour-age students to read more during leisure time. A major fund-raising drive was launched recently, spear-headed by members of ParentTeacher Student Association (PTSA) and Marsac School Community Council, Coun-cil, to upgrade libraries in all three Park City schools. A Book Fair is scheduled to take place at Marsac Monday night, March 20. A tentative goal of $15,000 has been set to reach for the library drive. Local businesses and individuals will be asked to make donations and to contribute books |
