Show City Will Enforce Ordinance ! s rJ- i;A0 QA ' v.'i' Ct) - l 1 a -,. - r: . -X- -"irr-, sr.-., r- - v.- In a closed session last week, the City Council voted to step up enforcement of the City ordinance which provides for the towingaway of certain cars whose owners own-ers are found to be in violation viola-tion of that ordinance. They particularly stressed stress-ed the enforcement of the 72-hour clause which'states that any vehicle left in the same spot for over 72 hours will be towed away to the City's impound lot. The added enforcement of this measure was designed to remove vehicles from the Swede Alley parking area to facilitate snow removal. The Council also upheld enforcement of an amendment amend-ment to the ordinance which makes it illegal to park on Main Street between 2 and 6 a.m. This clause is again designed to facilitate snow removal. According to Cliff's wrecker service, who has the contract for the actual towing, about ten cars were towed off last week for violations vi-olations of the Main Street and 72 hour clauses. The Main Street clause has recently come under fire from local merchants who claim that the cars of unsuspecting tourists are being towed away which is giving Park City a bad name and posing a potential threat to its merchant economy. One Park City visitor found himself extremely put but when his car containing his luggage and personal belongings be-longings was towed away. Because of the weekend he was unable to get his car out until the following Monday. Mon-day. He was on his honeymoon. The Eighth grade groduc tmg class had fheir picture taken in the year 1910.
