Show new board members were appointed ap-pointed to fill the vacant board positions. Victor Buck and Morton Donner will replace Bob McConaughy and Bob Dunning. The other four members of the six member board of directors are: Vic Ayers, Cathy Soares, Phil Jones and Dan Thomas. A board meeting was held after, with budgets, salaries, program size and club memberships being discussed. A few changes were made in the program makeup and are noted here. It was agreed to by board members that $10 additional cost would be added to each tuition fee for one additional divisional membership. This means one parent for every racer will support the USSA, Intermountain Division, Divi-sion, and the Park City Ski Club membership drive. A list of membership benefits will be included in the program outline The Club is looking for a way to increase memberships and Vic Ayers offered the team the use of the Tennis Club to eventually have a fund raiser for the Club. Also, Vic consented to the idea of handing out coupons for court time at a discount. The matter is to be discussed in detail later. For being late in releasing the Ski Team outline the Club apologizes. The delay was due to the finalizing of our Learn To Race Program and the program costs. The board stressed promptness in paying tuition fees and noted that the Club is unable to operate without the total cooperation of the Club members. Deliquent fees will be penalized. Due dates are: One half tuition fees are due on November 1st, with the remaining half and the pass money to be due no later than' November 30. No program benefits will be extended until final payment is received! For convience, you may include money for'the seasons pass with the tuition fee. Passes will be issued sometime in the later part of November. No one will be able to participate without a release signed by the parents. Dryland training has been conducted weekly in Park City and in Salt Lake with approximately approxi-mately 35 members coming out for training. Much hard work is expected, and group moral seems to be good. I would like to see more racers! Many of our expert racers are in good shape and looks promising for some talent to be exposed during this season. Racers should be thinking about securing your equipment for the season now. Different programs are available for expert racers and the Timberhaus in Park City is offering a 10 percent discount on a $15 or more purchase. This offer will be' good throughout the winter. Wolfe's is having a 20 percent off night the 28th of October, from 5 to 8 in the evening. All ski team members will be receiving a roster with members split up into groups. A group leader will have the responsibility of keeping his or her group informed. Call your group leader if you have any questions. Park City Ski Club Meets The Park City Ski Club held it's annual meeting on Wednesday, October 20, at the Park City Resort Cafeteria. The seasons Alpine and Nordic programs were presented and discussed. The meeting was held with more than 50 parents, racers, and coaches in attendance. atten-dance. Joan Chase from the U.S. Ski Team came prepared to tell us a little about the U.S. Alpine and Nordic Ski Teams and what they are doing at the present time. The Club will be working closely with the U.S. Ski Team this winter putting together the Spring JSeries. Joan discussed the series of events for the season with highlights on the first and second weeks in April. The Equitable Family Cup Challenge Finals, the Second Annual Celebrity event and the 1977 Spring Series Alpine events all are slated for that time here in Park City. Area manager Phil Jones spoke to parents and racers concerning availability of training areas and rules that will be followed by the team members during the season. Lockers are available (the resort is holding 20), for the season for club members. The cost of the locker is $85.00. The lockers will be held for two weeks only, until the 10th of November, so contact Bob right away if you are ': interested. They will be rented on : a first come first serve basis.
