Show I Come Follow Me I By PAM JOHNSON A good leader should be beable beable beable I able to say sincerely Come follow me and I shall learn from you He strives to Collow follow follow fol Col- fol- fol low in Christs Christ's footsteps and help others do the same One cannot be a leader unless he learns from the enriching in influence influence influence in- in fluence of his followers LEADERSHIP day for the senate was Sept 21 The senate senate senate sen sen- ate contributed excellent ideas in a classroom discussion led by the executive council Leadership Leadership Leadership Lead Lead- day was planned by Mr Horne Home advisor and Joyce Wrigley council member Henry Peterson who was the guest speaker during Leadership Leadership Leadership Leader Leader- ship day gave us some wonderful wonder wonder- ful thoughts He said that the church was growing at a tremendous tremendous tremendous tre tre- tre- tre speed and good leaders leaders leaders lead lead- ers are needed in the days to come Small organizations may build if good leaders are ap ap- ap- ap pointed A LEADER is responsible for forthe forthe forthe the wrong his sub-ordinates sub do This thought will stimulate him to become a better leader He must love the Gospel and carry carryout carryout carryout out his job to the best of his ability It is his responsibility to get others interested in inthe inthe the church program and to do this he must learn all about the gospel and carry out his duties faithfully He must want to do the job Keeping prayer first in mind he can gain council council council coun coun- cil and guidance and not become become become be be- come discouraged Mr Peterson continued to say that the leader must keep other people in mind He must approach them in the way they would like by understanding their separate personalities Procedure is also important in leadership Being organized and knowing what goals must be accomplished is what makes the organization worthwhile Then Tien this leader with the help and involvement of others must fulfill the jobs which have to be done to make perfection THE UTHE ATTITUDE of the leader lead lead- er as Mr Peterson said is uis not to always get something something something some some- thing out ut of or life but to realize what will become of him by living that life If he wants to become an eternal part of the celestial glory his life will be a good one You cannot lead anyone anywhere anywhere anywhere any any- where youre you're not going This was a true statement made by Marion G.
