Show Willie Nelson At Sundance . v.-. ....... , AiT", ( f '4- Willie Nelson - The "king of country music, ' ' Willie Nelson, and his band will appear on stage live outdoors at Sundance, July 28 at 8 p.m. according to resort owner, Robert Red-ford. Red-ford. -. Proclaimed country's king by 4,Newsweeki'''The New York Daily News," and "The Los Angeles Times, ' Nelson's Nel-son's music was branded as "outlaw" during his early iyears in Nashville. Today, his unique "progressive country" fusion of country, rock, blues, jazz, and gospel styling draws audiences of all ages. . Nelson was selected by the ' Country Music Association to present the association's award for support of country music to one of his biggest fans, President Jimmy Carter. Nelson's current popularity popu-larity is reflected by three current million selling albums, al-bums, "Stardust," "Red headed Stranger," and "Wanted: The Outlaws." Other Nelson albums include 4The Sound in Your Mind," "Troublemaker," "To Lefty from: Willie," and "Willie and Family Live." Nelson will be joined by his musical "family," including in-cluding his sister Bobbie, Paul English, Jody Payne, and Micky Raphael, at the outdoor concert. Tickets are priced to encourage conservation and carpooling, Redford explains. ex-plains. Prices are: $30 for passenger cars; $50 for vans, pickups, mini-busses, and station wagons; and $10 for motorcycles, bicycles and hikers. Seating is on a first come first serve basis. Nelson recently completed his first motion picture role as Redford's manager in "The Electric Horseman."
