Show Grisman Concert Off, Jazz Ensemble On felt "Oregon" was an excellent replacement. A spokesman from Creative Crea-tive Concerts, proporters of the performance, said that previously purchased David Grisman tickets will be honored at the "Oregon" concert and those wishing refunds may be re-imbursed at the place where they purchased their tickets. The David Grisman concert has been re-scheduled for September Sep-tember 16 at the new Symphony Hall in Salt Lake. Performing with Grisman at the September concert will be Stephan Grappelli. The outdoor performance of the Daivd Grisman Quintet Quin-tet scheduled for the City Park, August 4 has been cancelled in a surprise announcement by Grisman this week. According to the world reknowned mandoline player, several members of his stage band have apparently appar-ently left the group, making the August 4 performance impossible. Taking Grisman's place under the tent at the City Park next Saturday evening will be "Oregon" an accomplished accom-plished jazz ensemble featuring featur-ing guitarist Ralph Towner. Regarding the last minute change in scheduling, Arts Festival Director Tina Lewis said she was disappointed that the David Grisman Quintet was unable to perform during this year's Arts Festival, but added she |
