Show Aircraft Patrol Uinta Mountains The rugged Uinta Mountains are less difficult for Wildlife Resources law enforcement officers of-ficers to cover these days thanks to patrolling by aircraft in that area. Division pilots fly over all drainages in the Uintas and can spot camps and potential fishermen within a few minutes. Pilots inform radio equipped law enforcement officers stationed sta-tioned on the ground which area to check for valid fishing licenses li-censes and fish limits. This method allows more efficient ef-ficient use of law enforcement officer's time in patrolling this remote, rugged mountain land. After fishermen are checked, officers collect biological data for fisheries management. |
