Show Editorial Little Things Could Help a Great Deal We believe there are a couple of things that could be accomplished accom-plished by our City officials that would cost very little money and take very little time and yet would help in various ways. One thing that seems to us of first priority is to erect a TWO WAY TRAFFIC" sign at the head of the Tramway on Empire Avenue. The present arrow is most ineffective hard to see and confusing. Why not re-Daint the red curbing in front of City Hall and make it easier for motorists motor-ists to see that it is a No Parking Park-ing area? And before the snow comes and perhaps covers the curb, have a more prominent sign ON the building that tells how many feet in each direction that NO PARKING zone measures. And if the law still stands that there is No Parking on the east side of the residential streets, let's get some NO PARKING signs put up and aid our police force in enforcing the law. We think laws and ordinances were made and passed to be enforced. If we have some that are out-dated or unenforceable, let's get them off the books and pass new ones if they are needed. |
