Show Fete Miss Summit Contestants at Fun and Education Night ficlal preliminary Miss America Amer-ica Scholarship Pageant. The girl chosen to reign as queen will represent our county in both the Miss Utah State Fair contest in September and the Miss Utah contest next June. An outstandingprologue number num-ber is being created by Mrs. Shae Vernon, featuring Valerie Pratt, Michelle Evans, and Marie Sweeten from Park City High School; Luette Sargent, Melanie Simister, and DeAnn Geary, North Summit High School; Elynn Brusnahan, Jill Flinders, and Debbie Sorenson, South Summit High Schoo;. The music for the evening will be furnished by Carla Dee Stokes, Blaine Blonquist and Paul Brown. Every year, the Pageant tends to be an outstanding evening of entertainment as well as an enriching en-riching experience for all contestants, con-testants, and of course a once in a lifetime moment for the girl chosen to replace Miss Jana Lee Geary as Miss Summit County. Be on hand when the new queen is crowned, Saturday, August 12, at 8 p.m. at the NSHS auditorium. All money will go into the Scholarship Fund for the prize money for the girls. The public is also invited to attend the talent competition com-petition at 5 p.m. The contestants for Miss Summit County were treated to an evening of fun and education educa-tion Wednesday evening July 26, at a modeling clinic hosted by Treasure Mountain Inn in Park City. The following workshops were enjoyed by all: Make-up by Laura Beech of Ogden; hair Styling by John Rudder of Park City; Figure Analysis by Joy Beech of Ogden; Og-den; Modeling Former Miss Summit County, Arlys (Judd) Johansen. The Pageant is very happy to announce the appearance of Miss Utah State Fair 1972. Robin Rae Timoney is Mistress of Ceremonies for thisyear's contest. con-test. Robin is from Salt Lake City, a graduate of USU and will be teaching drama at Granger High School in the fall. Panel of Judges: Sally Peterson Miss Utah 1972, Concert. Pianist; Annette Hatch Attendant to Miss Utah State Fair 1972, Voted outstanding outstand-ing Drama Student at B.Y.U.: Joyce Barney Accomplished vocalist and former Governing Board Chairman for the National Nation-al Honors Cotillion in Utah County; Joann Fadel Former Miss Utah, who specializes in the field of dance; Ray Fadel formerly in Radio and T.V. and is presently District Manager Man-ager for Farmers Insurance.
