Free demonstration rides will be given all day from 9 o'clock in the morning to 6 p.m. and refreshments will be served. The Park Record wishes these three fellows great success. suc-cess. Something new is being introduced intro-duced to Park City Holiday Magic cosmetics a nationally advertised company with headquarters head-quarters in Los Angeles. Particularly appropriate to this area is their fine line of skin protection creams which will be demonstrated by beauty technicians for the ladies who attend. Lillian Smith, popular lady about Park City, is the local representative of these products, prod-ucts, and is urging all ladies interested in skin protection to save Tuesday evening, November Novem-ber 9. (See ad elsewhere in this paper for particulars.) The Hearth opened on schedule sched-ule on Monday, November first, and we are anxious to sample their wares. They advertise home-made things and the use of fresh fruits and vegetables. From the looks of the interior of the shop it's nice and clean and neat-it SHOULD be a "nice place to eat" as the ad says. And did you happen to seethe little dog bouncing around on the waterbed in the window of that shop? It was a funny sight! The Poison Creek Drug is now being renovated (again!) and this time it will be only a restaurant. Park City really is starting to boom! The 1971-72 season is off to a running start. Bud and Mary Gasparac have one of the most attractive new buildings in town and it certainly certain-ly adds much to Main Street! Park City Gifts & Souvenirs will be carrying a host of different dif-ferent type items things visitors visit-ors will agree are just right to carry back home as a reminder re-minder of their visit in Park City, and Bud says that some of the larger items can be mailed. Greeting cards run the gamut from small jig-saw puzzle cards through the regular Contemporary cards to the very newest the giant blowup blow-up cards -for instance, "Happy Birthday to a Good Sport" inflate in-flate it and presto a regular size football! Lamps, dolls, music boxes, some special items just for the Christmas holidays- a i variety that's hard to believe this new gift shop will have something for visitors and Parkites as well. The Park Record will give a complete run down of this nice new shop after it's officially open. The new Miner's Find down on lower Park Avenue really will be spectacular so much more floor space than the old shop. Gene Zenger, owner and operator, op-erator, has a crew busy at work getting the three floors ready to go for the season. The shop was open for awhile this past week-end to sell out certain items but after this Thursday (November 4) it will be closed again so that new carpet car-pet can be laid and all the finishing finish-ing touches completed. As in the old Miner's Find this new building will be a COMPLETE ski shop with a full line of fine ski wear, boots, skis and hardware as well as repair and rental service. The Purple Mountain, a brand new shop in Park City, will have 'its Grand Opening on Saturday and Sunday, November 6 and 7 at 355 Main Street, Park City. Larry Stokes, recently of Og-den, Og-den, and Mark Rockwood, Salt Lake City, are partners in this venture where they will feature an entirely new concept of backpacking back-packing and climbing equipment called Lowe Alpine Equipment. " Newly patented, this equipment equip-ment is be i n g manufactured near Nephi, Utah, and promises to be an exciting addition. The Purple Mountain will also carry complete cross-country equipment; equip-ment; also ski equipment-some new and some used, The shop is fortunate to be able to present paintings by Farrell Collette, the head of the Art Department at Weber State College. His paintings are geared gear-ed to the outdoors and will complement the Purple Mountain. Moun-tain. Mr. Collette is well recognized rec-ognized both intheUnitedStai.es and Europe. This Grand Opening will be in conjunction with that of Scorpion Scor-pion of Park City. Dick Reynolds along with his two partners, Dick Frost and Bob Ramos, will have a Grand Opening of their new shop.Scor- |
