Show Young Hunters Need Training 'Why is it so important that an adult be with a young hunter hunt-er who is under 16 years old?" A person under 16 years of age must be accompanied while hunting by an adult 21 years of age or older, according' to Utah law. A youngster under 14 years of age may not hunt unless with his parent, guardian or person 21 years of age or older who is approved by his parent or guardian. Reasons for adult supervision super-vision of young hunters are based on safety and proper training of youth by responsible and experienced persons. Better judgement of mature people and their greater ability to deal with hunt related misfortune mis-fortune are important benefits for adult supervision. |
