Moss D D- D Utah declared recently he will seek an appropriation of for improvement of four and one one-haU miles of road between Porterville and the site of East Canyon Dam in Morgan County MOSS 1 has discussed with the Bureau of Reclamation the request re re- quest of the commissioners of Morgan County that the road be improved in connection with the building of the new East C Canyon nyon Dam The Commissioners have contended that Ute tiro road up East Canyon is the most logical logt logi- cal access road for the building build build- ing of the dam and will be the access route for lor most of those using the reservoir for crea tion Sen Moss said VEVER after careful investigation the Bureau of Reclamation has stated the opinion that the most economical eco ceo construction method will be to utilize the alternate route from Henefer to the dam damsite site he said And the Bureau states that this road Is adequate for lor tile the purpose of constructing the project he std said SEN MOSS BlOSS said that the cost of the improvements has been estimated at And he said The only course of action now open is to go before beCore the Reclamation n s Subcommittee to see if funds can be voted for the road im im- provement This I will be glad to do |
