Show BEFORE THE POLICE JUDGE Maggie Mossinger. an old offender, was the first prisoner to face Judge Murphy In police court this morning. Maggie was picked up by tho police near tho Union depot Tuesday on a charge of vagrancy. Sho entered a plea of guilty to the charge and was fined $10 or ten days Alfred Carswell, who pleaded guilty guil-ty to being unlawfully drunk, wai given a sentence of twenty days In Jail, but was allowed his liberty on a promise to be good, tho pentenco being Buepended. Elmer Anderson, arrested for drunkenness, did not deny his guilt and was sentenced to serve five days. It being considered by the court that It would take about flc days to sober the man, J. E. Ryan, the man who stole a meal from a local restaurant a few days ago and whose case was continued con-tinued from yesterday, wan turned loofce. |
