Mrs. P.enschel. as leader of Timely Topics, read an article on the pre dieted '"World War." which gave rise to au animated discussion. The club adjourned for four weeks, after which Mrs. Howe assisted by her daughter, served the always-pleasant rcireshmenls and Mrs. Peuschell, by special request, gave two Italian songs. BOHEMIAN DANCING CLUB. - The Dohemian Dancing c!ub gave their initial dress ball at the Congress Con-gress last evening, at which 60 of the members and their ladies were present. The hall was made unusually unusual-ly attractive for the occasion, and the beautiful gowns and rare jewels worn by the ladles enhanced the brilliancy bril-liancy of the scene A splendid musical mu-sical program, said to be the finest given at any social event this season, was much appreciated. Refreshments, perfectly served, were enjoyed in the reception room. The llohernian Dancing club is composed com-posed of the select social set of the city, .who enjoy dancing, and their monthly events will not only be brilliant, bril-liant, affairs, but truly enjoyable ones. SOCIETY (Continued from Pave Seven.) MISSION CIRCLE. An open meeting of the Ladies' Mission circle will bo held at 7:30 o'clock on Wednesday evening at the home of Professor and Mrs. J. A Smith. Special music with tho serving serv-ing of refreshments will be an additional ad-ditional feature of the evening, to-gether to-gether with an Interesting talk by Mrs. C. J. The Tolstoi circle met on Tuesday afternoon with Mrs. Frank Howe at her home in the Peety Apartment House. Mrs. Miller, as leader for the day, gave a reading from the Geographical SIXTH WARD ENTERTAINMENT. The Manila Merry Workers met Wednesday afternoon with their pres. idem, Mrs. Matilda Lyman.
