Show of the late Rev. N. F. Putnam, one of the first rectors of St. Mark's cathedral, ca-thedral, died at 5: :!0 o'clock jester-' jester-' dav morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs, E. H. Helsler. New S I Funeral sen Ices will be held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon from St. Mark's cathedral. In the death of Mrs. Putnam, Salt Lake loses one of its notable and public spirited women. Born in New York. Mrs. Putnam, who passed her seventieth seven-tieth birthday last June, was born In New York, her maiden name beinrj Eleanor Chester, a member of a wealthy weal-thy and aristocratic eastern family. She came to Salt Lake in 1S82 with her husband, the Rev. N. F. Putnam, who was the beloved dean of St. Mark's cathedral until his death in 1801 in this city. Since that time, with the exception of a few years spent In Northampton, Mass , "while her daughters attended Smith college, col-lege, she had lived continuously in Salt Lake, where she had leen closely close-ly identified with club and church work.
