Show AMERICANS GUARD THEIR PROPERTY EL PASO. Tex . Dec. 4. A tele-telegram tele-telegram from Marfa, Texas, tonight states that apprehension and excitement excite-ment prevails at both Presidio and Candelarla, ninety miles south on the Texas side of the river, owln? to the revolutionary disorders reported on tho Mexico side. Nothing definite has vet been learned or the reported fighting at Ojinaga Saturday night. Firing has been heard at intervals, but so far as can be learned there has been not loss of life. The few Americans living along the river at Presidio and Candelarla have been standing guard to prevent an invasion, and there is a strong demand de-mand that the government send troops to their relief. Troops Embarrass Commission. CHIHl'AHUA, Dec. 4 The peace; commission returned to this city to- day and reported thetr work was great ly "embarrassed by the fact that soldiers sold-iers followedal their heels. At Guerrero just as they were beginning to talk with the Insurrectos, a peon arrived with word that tho soldiers were on the way whereupon the meetln? promptly came to an end. Today telegrams were ex- ' changed with the capital with reference refer-ence to the proposal that the government govern-ment forces be halted pending another anoth-er conference. Caoture Town of Guerrero. Seemingly authentic reports tonight to-night state that Guerrero has been taken bv the revolutionists with some loss of "life. Details are lacking It is reported that General Plata, commanding com-manding this military zone, is to he succeeded by General Juan Fernandez. Fernan-dez. Gandera Suggested Commission. EL PASO, Tex. Dec. 4 It was learned here today that the peace commission, which lert Chihuahua Frl day to treat with the Insurrectos was acting tinder the authority of Governor Gover-nor Sanchez and not President Diaz. The plan originated with Jose M. Gandera', a prominent citizen of Chihuahua, Chi-huahua, who urged its adoption by the chief executive in the interest of pence and, to prevent bloodshed. The following ' men compose the commission: commis-sion: Jose M. Gandera Amador Gonzales, Dr. Luis De La Garza, of Chihuahua, and Eduardo and Fernando Gonzales of Guerrero. It is stated that the authority of the commission Is limited to impressing the futility of an uprising up-rising upon the insurrectos. No Advices at Ft. Houston. SAN ANTONIO, Tex..
