Aeroplanes Aero-planes sweeping in graceful curves and darting bird-like about the course gave to thousands today their first real knowledge of aviation. Weather conditions were perfect. C'urtlss' quick start record of 0 2-5 seconds, made at tho Los Angeles meet, was broken by him with ease thin afternoon. He rose from Iho ground In 5 4-5 seconds. Out in the same test failed to break his short record of ninety-eight feet. After breaking tho record, tho aviator avia-tor took his wle up on her first flight, |
