Show SPRINKLED GASOLINE AND THEN LIGHTED A MATCH. Pittsburg, June 10 George Renkes, a hotel proprietor of the South Side, sprayed gasoline about his saloon to kill roaches and then lighted a match. There was a flash and Rcnkes, minus min-us mustache and eyelashes, rushed for the Arc alarm Utx. Before he could find the key, the flames had flickered out without doing damage. Guests In tho hotel awakened by the flash, created much excitement as they rushed Into the halls, but returned to bod when assured there was no danger. |
