Show LADIES OF THE GRAND ARMY On the evening of June 7, U. S. Grant Circle No. 6, Ladles of the Grand Army of the Republic, wan organized at the homo of Miss S. C. Chapman, president of Lincoln Circle No. 2, Ladles of the G. A. R., a number num-ber of the members of Lincoln Circle Cir-cle being present Mrs, Delia R. Henry, national president of the Ladies La-dies of tho G. A. Ft., was present and conferred the obligations of the order or-der upon the following applicants: Miss M. June Pelree Miss Lois E. Pelree. Mrs. Marilla C. Rollow. Dr. Anna F. Rles Miss Marvel Ives. Mrs. Celestia Burt. Mrs. Nellie M. Crarnei Miss Lillian Newton Mrs. Jennie D. King. Mrs. Elizabeth M. Becker. Upon request of Mrs. Henry, Miss Eva C. Erb acted as secretary and Mrs Lucy M. Hodge as conductor for this meeting, both being members of Lincoln Circle. The name of U. S Grant Circle No. C. Indies of the G. A. R., was chosen as the name of the new circle. The following were theu unanl mously elected as officers of the new circle: Miss M. Juno Polrce, president. Mrs. Celestia Burt, senior vice-president. vice-president. Dr. Anna F. Rics, junior vlce-prosl-dent. Miss Marvel Ives, treasurer, Mrs. Marilla C. Rollow. chaplain. Tho president appointed Miss Lola E. Polrce as secretary. Tho national president, Mrs. Delia R. Henry, then Installed the officers. Dr. Anna F. Rles was elected as delegate and Miss Lois E. Pelrec as alternate to the department convention conven-tion to be held at Salt Lake City on Saturday, June 11, 1910, pursuant to call of the national president. Miss Chapman extended an Invitation Invi-tation to the members of the new circle cir-cle to attend the meeting of the Lincoln Lin-coln Circle on Thursday afternoon, June 9, 1910. On behalf of the U. S. Grant Circle, Cir-cle, the president thanked the members mem-bers of the Lincoln Circle for their kindly "aid to the new organization and thanked Miss Chapman for the use of her home. After some words of encouragement encourage-ment and greeting from the National President, tho circle adjourned, to meet on, the evening of Saturday, June 25, 1910, at the home of Mlso Chapman, No 212S Adams avenue. Any ladies who are eligible to membership mem-bership In this organization and who would like to become charter members, mem-bers, may send their names to Mrs. Lucy M. Hodge.
