Show PARENTS' DAY . AT 11D FORT Parents' day at the Mound Fort school yesterday wag an cent of njuch Interest, there being a lnrge attendance of parents during tho'day, particularly in the afternoon. The school work of tho students was haudHomely displayed in tbe various rooms and the visitors were consider- ably surprised at tbo splendid work accomplished. The art work of tbe sixth grade and the clay niodcllntj of the lower grades were especially meritorious, and received high commendation com-mendation from parents. Regular class exercises were conducted con-ducted during the day, which gave tho patrons of tho school an opportunity to sec the children Jn their school ; work, and understand ' something of the efforts that aro being put forth by tho teachers of tho different (trades. There arc 375 Mudcnt3 In the school, the teachers having charge of tho same being: Miss Juno Pierce, principal: Ethel Butterfleld, seventh grade; Josephine Monk, sixth grade; Anna Hart, fifth grade; Grace Cassatt and Rosa Maddock. fourth grade; Mary Adamson, third grade; Josle Bune and Luclle Farr, second grade; Mabel Harroun, first grade, and Hat-tie Hat-tie Waples, kindergarten. The teachers express gratification at the admirable showing made by the 6tudents lu tho legular work of the school. The children made no preparation prep-aration at alt for the visit of the parents par-ents and in their drill work ami every day exercises they conducted themselves as they usually do, so that the parents had the opportunity to see the little tots as they may be seep every day in school. |
