Show BRYAN'S DAUGHTER WEDSBR1TISHER LINCOLN, Neb!, May 3. Tn a wedding wed-ding devoid of any publicity, Mv. Ruth Bryan Leavltt, eldest daughter of Mr. ami Mrs. William J. Bryan, was married today to Lieutenant Reginald A. Owen, of the Royal Engineers corps of tho British army stationed in Jamaica. Only members of the family witnessed wit-nessed the ceremony. The Rev. Harry Har-ry Huntington of Crete, an old friend of the family, who officiated last summer sum-mer at the marriage of W. J. Bryan Jr. performed the ceremony. Th rooms werxj decorated with palms, easier lilies and lilies of the valley. Mr. and Mrs. Owen left today for Jamlca. tho route not being definitely determined upon In advance. Tho groom Is 32 years of age and is the son of T. C. Owen, a business man of London. Mr. Owen took the engineering branch of the British government at Jamaica and according to the government govern-ment rules will not be recalled to the mother country until after completing com-pleting a three years term. Mrs. Owen was married nearly seven years ago, when a school gill of 18, to William Homer Leavltt, an artist. She secured a dhorco froin Leavltt in March 1009 and was awarded award-ed the absolute custody of their two children. The children are now in Germany. |
