Show REWARD OFFERED BY LOCAL BANKER James Plngree, cashier of the Tin-gree Tin-gree National bank of this city and president of the Laytin bank, states that some time ago he told Cashier Ellison of the Inyton bank that he had better leave a screwdrlxer in the vault, bo that, If any one should happen hap-pen to be locked In, he could remove the lock from the Inside and get out before suffocation. This little Bcrew-driver Bcrew-driver came In vcrv handy this morning morn-ing when the cashier and nlghtwatch-tuan nlghtwatch-tuan found themselves locked in the vault. Had it not been for the precautionary pre-cautionary measure suggested by Mr. Pingree there Is no question bill what the two men would have died of suffocation suffo-cation before being rescued. The men were in the vault for about an hour when thoy found the screw-drUer screw-drUer and liberated themselves Mr. Plngree offers a remard of $200 for the capture and conviction of the parties who attempted to rob the bank. |
