Show were 5 cases of diphtheria, 1 case of measles and 1 of whooping cough, making a total of 53 cases for the week. At the close of the week there were 30 houses under quarantine on account of smallpox, 54 on account of scarlet fever, and 10 on account of diphtheria. The isolation hospital still had 9 patients, pa-tients, as on the previous week. CONTAGIOUS CASES ARE ON THE" INCREASE Salt Lake. March 28.
