Blggers declared that Jdge Mab-en Mab-en himself and others met tho "bootleggers" "boot-leggers" In conference, agreed upon terras, and later accepted money brought to them by County Commissioner Commis-sioner Robert Hager. Bigger said that certain sums bad been delivered to Hager In an envelope by Oat Johnson John-son and L. B. Howell, jolntists. Johnson then took the stand and reiterated the story of tho conference and the passage of money. Maben and Diggers were Indicted several weeks ago following charges by the Rev. Mr. Bulgln, an evangelist, evangel-ist, who charged county officials with accepting bribes from "bootleggers" and gamblers of Shawnee.
