Show MOST PAY FOR CALLING AHAN A LIAR Atlanta, March 16. To call a man a liar in Georgia is a breach of tho peace and means a fight, declared tho state court of appeals in a decision today. The lower court, which, refused dam-agee dam-agee to W. M. Rumsey, who sued W. A. Bullard for llOO for calling hlra a liar, is reversed, the opinion by Judgo Powell concluding: "Being to the manor born, the judgo of this court takes Judicial cognizance of the fact that in Georgia to call a man a liar, even without threatening him with a weapon, most generally means a fight. There may be exceptions excep-tions to this rule, but they are exotics and find little nourishment on Georgia soil and under Southern skies." . . |
