Show HUSBAND WIFE Prominent Stockman of Montana Meets a Tragic Death Butte. March 12. A dispatch from Twin Bridges, Mont., says that Thomas Tho-mas Mctzel. a prominent stockman of the Centennial valley, near Lake View, has been shot and killed by his wife. No particulars of the shooting aro available, other than they are said to have had Mime trouble and that phe shot him. He died almost instantly. in-stantly. The shooting occurred about ono o'clock yesterday afternoon. Mrs. Metzel, it Is said, had been ill iccently, and had been in a hospital. It is presumed that sue wa3 temporarily tempor-arily deranged. Metzel was tho second son of the late Alex. Metzel, ono of tho pioneer stockmen of Montana. For a number of years, ho was in Chicago, engaged in various enterprises, enter-prises, but later returned to Montana. Mon-tana. Mrs. Mctzel wag formerly a resident resi-dent of Chicago and was married to Mr. Metzel about twelve years ago. |
