H They are screened and covered In such a manner that flics cannot fret H into them and all manures and rub bish of a fertilizing nature is dumped into the pits and kept until needed fur fertilizing purpofl H By the addition of the correct H amounts of water fermentation Is pre vented, odors are reduced t the mln-H mln-H Imum and the manures which are val- H ued at approximately $ per ton are H saved for use on the farm. H County Agent Thomas said that H when properly constructed the pits H are one of the most sanitary measures H that could be adopted on a farm and had received the approval of the best sanitary engineers in the country.
