Show NATURAL GAS FOR OGDEN. B Proposals have been made to the ' board ol city commissioners, looking to the bringing of natural gas to Op-den Op-den from the oil fields of Wyoming. Sixteen miles to the southeast of Rock Springs iwo large gas flows have been , encountered, ensuring over 50,000,000 cubic feet of gas a day, with a very H high pressure. Plans have been made to pipe this gafl the 185 miles to Og-den, Og-den, and deliver to Ogdcn and Salt 1-ake 20,000,000 feet of gas each day. At present the daily consumption of the two cities is not one-tenth of that sasH smnnnt. hut the promoters of the en-I H terpriflo expect to greatly enlarge the use of gas for heating purposes, and, BH in so doing, make ogden and Sail :Lake smokeless cities. In applying to Ogden for a Fran-chiso, Fran-chiso, the gas people have indicated a rate of 50 cents to 55' cente per ;housand feel, which would be about one-halt the present charge.
