J'almer, head of the Palmer School of I 'hlropractlc. of Davenport. Iowa. Tho medal Is the first of a series I that will be awarded to those whoj are rendering greatest service to htf-manlt) htf-manlt) based upon the Golden Rule. The purpose of the award Is to popularize popu-larize the application of the Cloldcri U-.il'. to hu-lni-MS and industry The decision to award the medal to Dr. Painter was based largely on th number of votes he received He led the other three chief candidates by rrforo than 150,000 votes, many of whi h came from foreign countries, Japan. Italy, Englnnd, Australia, New Zealand and Canada. Woodrow Wilson ran second to Dr.! Palmer and then followed Harriet l.u-ella l.u-ella McCollum, tho lecturer on applied ap-plied psychology. The gold medal was designed by the well known sculptor. Adolph Wolff. On one siije were the words: "The Greatest Among Ye Shall Be the Servant of All " On the reverse aide.
