Show AMERICAN RED CROSS With representation from a majorltj of the chapters of thr state, the American Amer-ican Red Cross (s holding its regiona' conference in Ogden with sessions ex tending over a period of two days No activity fostered by the Amerl- j can people does a greater service than the Red Cross, with its contributions of aid to those who are involved in calamity. During the world war. the American people gave most freely toi this organization and received back, the supreme satisfaction of knowing! their contributions were well spent in the succoring of the distressed and the alleviating of those who suffered. The Red Cross is brought most prominently to view when ;r rages, j but every day it is performing a duty ( of love and sympathy for afflicted hu- j inanity. It manifests its goodness j I wherever misfortune uppalls, and is a ministering angel in 'he midst of hor- j ror Those who are thoughtful enough to enlist in its work deserve well of all j I communities and should be honored They are the good samaiilans without whom the world would be iinresjpon sive in limes of widespread misery j and WOO. 1 i |
