Show I SCOUTS OF WESTERN STATES TO HOLD FIELD MEET HERE I Plana for an Interstate field met for Boy Scout of Utah, Idaho, Colorado. Colo-rado. Wyoming; Montana ami other states of the west, were outlined briefly brief-ly at a meeting: of the members of the executive board of the Ofcden council at the offices of Mayor Frank Francis Fran-cis last night. The meeting was called by Mayor Francis, who Is-president i)f the Boy Scouts, and was well attended. at-tended. Under the plans outlined, Boy 6couts from nil of the neighboring states will be invited to come to Ogden to t.ik part in one of the blfrgest ami best track and field meets over stage.! A parade with more than 1000 scouts In uniform, headed by the Boy Scout band of npden and scout officials of Utah will he held on the opening day. The dates for tho tourney will be announced later, according ac-cording to Deputy Commissioner Einer Sebbelov. A large publlo meeting with national na-tional Speakers, Is on the program. Extensive plans for the summer camp which Is held annually near Ogden Og-den will be mapped out In the near future- Excursion trips to nearb) scenic attractions will take place. It I Is stated. I I'nder new plans the city has been divided Into seven district with from three to four troops in a district. In submitting the program for the coming com-ing yem Commissioner Sebbelov stated stat-ed that one of the first efforts of the Ogden council will be to Increase the membership. At the present time 750 scouts nre enrolled In the local council coun-cil nnd It is planned to swell this total to 1000 before May 1. The ogden council coun-cil will also co-operate with the troops of Weber county, according to Commissioner Com-missioner Sebbelov. TRAINING COURSE. A training course for scout master and scout leaders will be held during the coming summer. Supt. W. Karl Hopkins and Colonel C, G Lowrence of the R. O. T. C. have promised the co-operation of the cadet corps. It Is stated. It Is also planned to nppolnt a mother's auxiliary committee In each dlitrlct to work with the ugden council. coun-cil. Committees of various natures will be nmnod at a meeting to bo held shortly. The band, which is a new fcaturo of the Boy Scout unit here, will have C. S.
