Commissioner Com-missioner Ward believes that the ap-! ap-! pearancn here of government officers made the proprietors suspicious ana wary. A jug, containing alleged moonshine i whisky was found in the basement of the Ogden Beer hall. 152 Twenty-fifth ! street. C. Beriagnolli. proprietor of ithe place was arrested and charged 1 with having liquor In his possession. Ho was released upon cash ball of $30u. ! Alleged liquor was also found In tho i placo owned by J. E. Sondell. 240 Twenty-fifth street. Sondell was placed plac-ed under arrest and furnished $3ij j bail. LIOTOIt DISCOVERED Search of the Marion Par, 17i I Twenty-flftli street also resulted In the ' discovery' of liquor, the officers reported, re-ported, and Louis Parantel was arrested arrest-ed there. He al.io was released upon bail of $300. Two partly filled pint bottles of j moonshine whisky were seized at 104 Twenty-fifth street and A. S- Miller was arrested and released later on bond. Although Commissioner Ward ss-serted ss-serted following the raid that it had not been n3 successful ns anticipated, he belb-ved that his officers had done well under the ( ircumsiances.
